The best camper places
What do I actually mean by that?
Are they the places with the most beautiful views or is the location top? Are the places very spacious? Is the surface paved and level?
If the overnight stay is cheap or even free? Or do they have everything you could possibly want, such as sanitary facilities, super fast wifi, a bakery around the corner or does it even exceed your expectations? I think it also depends on what kind of camper you are.
On this page I will elaborate on this and provide a list of the most important websites and apps for finding camper sites.

With the most beautiful view.
Yes, who wouldn't want that? On a beautiful lake or a river, or looking out over a vineyard or a valley. That's how we were in 2023 at camping Seiser-Alm in the Dolomites. The view was really fantastic, see photo, the sanitary facilities too. So I'm not going to tell you how much an overnight stay cost.... :)
Without camping behavior
What is that actually?
This means that you are allowed to stay overnight with your camper, but without behaving as if you are on a campsite. This usually means that you are allowed to park and spend the night in your camper, sleep in your vehicle and sometimes use the facilities available, such as a dump station or tapping water.
And what is not allowed, or in other words, camping behavior.
Put chairs and tables outside, fold out the awning or porch, have a BBQ or make a campfire and do not hang up any washing lines.

With beautiful sanitary facilities
Personally, I think sanitary facilities at a camper site are a real plus. It gives you comfort and convenience. You don't have to do everything in your camper - no hassle with small showers or limited water supply.
And because of this you use less water from your own water tank and your waste water tank fills up less quickly. That means: less often refilling and emptying.
In addition, it can be useful for larger groups or families where not everyone has to queue for the camper toilet or shower.
And besides, not every camper has a shower or toilet on board.
Fully automated
For example, what I really like are the organizations, campsites that fully understand what a camper wants. For example, I think Camping-Carpark, which is mainly active in France, the concept of reserving your spot online and driving there without worries is great! Lever up, park, coffee and done. But someone else would rather drive somewhere on spec and see what he or she encounters. I do notice that when I am with my family that I find that certainty more important than when I am on the road alone with my wife.
